Air Canada, Canada’s flag carrier airline, has resumed seasonal service between Mumbai and Toronto under the winter schedule 2022, which will be in effect until March 25, 2023.
In addition, this is the airline’s third service from India, joining existing services from Delhi to Toronto and Montreal. It should be noted that the flight is not a direct one and has operated via London Heathrow and passengers will be required to leave the aircraft and board again.
According to Air Canada, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will be used for the service between Mumbai and Toronto via London Heathrow.
Customers can choose between three service cabins, including lie-flat seats in Signature Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

“We are excited to resume our daily seasonal service between Mumbai and Toronto via London Heathrow,” said Arun Pandeya, Air Canada General Manager India.
“Our customers from India will benefit from greater travel choice, with access to our Toronto hub via London Heathrow, enabling convenient one-stop connections to destinations across Canada, including Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver.”
“Air Canada’s Mumbai flights also connect conveniently at London Heathrow to flights across the United States operated by our Star Alliance partner United Airlines, including Denver, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco, Washington and Boston.”
“Delighted to witness the launch of direct Air Canada flights from Toronto to Mumbai (via Heathrow). Travelling between Canada and India just got easier with daily flights between the largest cities in Canada and India. This new service adds to the existing Air Canada flights from Delhi to Toronto and Montreal giving travellers more options and boosting Canada-India bilateral ties.” said Diedrah Kelly, Consul General of Canada in Mumbai.
