Go First Airlines Extends Flight Cancellations Until May 30, Assures Full Refunds

In a recent announcement, Go First Airlines stated that its flight operations will remain suspended until May 30. The airline expressed its regret for the inconvenience caused and assured passengers that a full refund would be issued for the cancelled flights.

Taking to Twitter, the official media account of Go First Airlines informed the public about the cancellation. The tweet stated, “Due to operational reasons, Go First flights until May 30, 2023, are cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”

Furthermore, the airline released an official statement expressing its regret for the disruption caused to passengers’ travel plans.

The statement read, “We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till May 30, 2023, have been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations.”

Passengers Assured of Full Refunds

To provide some relief to affected passengers, the airline assured them that a full refund would be issued to the original mode of payment shortly. The letter sent to passengers emphasized the airline’s commitment to assisting them during this challenging time.

It stated, “We acknowledge the flight cancellations might have disrupted your travel plans and we are committed to providing all the assistance we can.”

In addition, Go First Airlines revealed that they had filed an application for immediate resolution and revival of operations. They expressed their optimism about resuming booking services in the near future.

In related news, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a notice to Go First Airlines on May 8, requesting a comprehensive restructuring plan for the sustainable revival of operations.

In response, the airline submitted its proposal, seeking permission to utilize the moratorium period to prepare the restructuring plan. Their intention was to present the plan to DGCA for necessary regulatory approvals before recommencing operations.

Responding to Go First’s submission, the DGCA advised the airline to submit a comprehensive restructuring and revival plan within 30 days. This directive aims to ensure a sustainable revival of the airline’s operations.
