Country’s largest carrier IndiGo has announced new codeshare connections to Edinburgh. The new connection effective May 8, 2023, via Istanbul will offer travellers more options and easy access to Scotland, bolstering IndiGo’s vision of increasing international connectivity.The airline said that IndiGo’s expanding network of codeshare destinations with Turkish Airlines now includes connections to 33 destinations in Europe.
Commenting on the development, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of new codeshare connections to Edinburgh via Istanbul. Dubai-based carrier has informed that these passenger numbers showed an increase of 50 percent compared to 2022. Expecting a 20 percent increase in capacity across the network between July and September, 2023, the airline will be increasing flight frequencies on several routes, including Krabi, Milan-Bergamo, Pattaya and Pisa.
