Even as ITA Airways is all set to start non-stop flights from New Delhi to Rome effective December 4, 2022, it is now available on Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) (India), and ready for sale by IATA travel agencies across India.

The New Delhi to Rome flights shall operate three times a week, and the route shall be operated by A330 aircraft. Equipped with state-of-the- art modern facilities and space for travellers for long haul routes, the aircraft will offer three-class configuration – Business, Premium Economy and Economy.


Italia Trasporto Aereo SpA, trading as ITA Airways, is the state-owned flag carrier airline of Italy. Its predecessor, Alitalia used to fly regularly on the route pre-pandemic and now ITA is all set to begin three-weekly, non-stop flights between both the capital city from December 4. Notably, Fabio Bigotti has been appointed as the new Country Manager for the Indian market.

The food offering for the Business class on board has been designed by famed Michelin-starred Italian Chef Gian Piero Vivalda. The chef has selected four signature dishes from the menu of his restaurant, Antica Corona Reale at Cervere, Italy (comprising appetiser, first course, main course and dessert), highlighting his autumn recipe book, for ITA Airways.Owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, the flag carrier of Italy recently completed one year of operations, serving more than 9 million travellers across the world. The airline is now available for sale in India; and is offering attractive packages for travel from New Delhi to Rome, and many onward destinations in Italy, Europe, North and South America.
