Expanding the flight network connecting India with Vietnam, budget carrier Vietjet has launched a new route connecting Ahmedabad to Da Nang in Vietnam. The Vietnamese carrier will operate four return flights every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, offering easy flight options to Indian travellers. The carrier will operate return flights four times a week.Earlier, the airline had announced two new direct flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Da Nang.
Post-Pandemic, the demand of Indians choosing Vietnam as a desirable destination has continued to increase in demand and popularity of VietJet among Indian travellers.
The country has been actively encouraging Indians to visit through a series of bilateral conferences and activities. The most in-demand destinations by Indians include Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Danang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Dalat, and Halong, with the country continuing to be sorted out by Indians traveling for leisure with family & friends.
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), an average monthly rise of 51 per cent was seen in the number of Indian tourists to Vietnam in the first 10 months of this year; A total of 20,681 Indian visited in October and 82,066 in the first 10 months of 2022.
Operating direct flights from Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, Indians can travel to Vietnam and the Vietnamese cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc. Since July 2022, the number of Indian tourists to Vietnam each month surpasses the figures recorded in 2019.
