Emirates Airbus A380 At Bengaluru Airport
According to information provided by BLR Airport, flight EK562 left Dubai International Airport at 10 am local time and touched down at KIA at 3.40 pm local time.
The flight will also operate as a return flight today. Passengers travelling on flight number EK563 boarded an A380 that leaves KIA at 6:40 p.m. local time and reached Dubai at 9 p.m. local time.
The Bengaluru Airport has also shared a video of the first A380 landing on their official Twitter account, along with a tweet stating, “Now that’s how you make an entrance! Emirates A380, the largest passenger airliner in the world has just touched down at Bengaluru Airport.”
It may be noted that Emirate’s A380 was supposed to arrive in Bengaluru on October 30. The flight was scheduled to depart Dubai at 9.25 p.m. local time on October 30 and arrive at KIA at 2.30 a.m. on October 31.
Only four cities in India are currently A380 compatible: Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
Emirates began scheduled services to Mumbai and Delhi in 1985 and has been serving customers in Bengaluru with award-winning services since 2006.
According to an official statement by Emirates on August 16, Bengaluru will be the second city in India to be served by the iconic Emirates A380 aircraft, with customers having enjoyed the signature experience on the Dubai-Mumbai route since 2014.
“The daily A380 flights will operate as EK568/569 with an aircraft in a three-class configuration, offering seats in Economy Class, in addition to premium cabins, in Business Class and First Class.”
“The deployment of the double-decker aircraft will complement its existing services, EK564/565 and EK566/567, each also operating on a daily basis with modern wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft.”
Flights EK564/565 will operate using a mix of Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft while EK566/567 will offer seats in First Class, Business Class and Economy Class aboard a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft,” the statement reads.
Comparing the two aircraft, the A380 can carry up to 45% more passengers than the Boeing 777.
The A380 experience has long been a favourite among travellers. They adore it for its added comfort and legroom as well as the largest screens in the business, which allow passengers in every cabin to enjoy the airline’s wide range of content on its ice in-flight entertainment system, which has won numerous awards.
When making travel arrangements, customers who fly in premium cabins keep coming back because of the airline’s defining amenities, which include the well-known Onboard Lounge, fully flat seats in Business Class, as well as private suites and Shower Spas in First Class.
